The industry which brought us nuclear weapons, radioactive waste and the Chernobyl disaster is still doing business in Australia. Right now we have uranium mines in Indigenous homelands, a nuclear reactor in the suburbs of Sydney and threats of nuclear waste dumps in South Australia and Western Australia. The Coalition government is attempting to force more mines, dumps and a new reactor on the Australian community - and involve us even further in the USA's plans for fighting a nuclear war.

Australia's government remains one of the most pro-nuclear in the world, putting our representatives sharply at odds with the mood of the people.

This website is designed to help keep nuclear issues high on the agenda for the Federal election (due late 2001) with a view to removing pro-nuclear politicians from office before any more damage is done to our country.
